CHAPTER 120

An Act to designate that portion of United States Highway No. 17 from
Fredericksburg to Gloucester Point as “The Tidewater Trail’, to
provide for marking the same.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1, That portion of the United States Highway No. 17 lying between the
city of Fredericksburg and Gloucester Point is hereby designated as “The
Tidewater Trail’. Appropriate markers shall be placed by the State De-
partment of Highways to indicate the designation of this highway. The
designation of this portion of United States Highway No. 17 as “The Tide-
water Trail’ shall not be considered as conflicting with the designation
heretofore made by the State Highway Commission of a portion thereof as
the “Historyland Highways”, and where the area herein involved coincides
with that of the “Historyland Highways”, both names shall apply.
