CHAPTER 38
An Act to amend and reenact § 58-792.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to extension of time for completion of general reassessment in certain
counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 58-792.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 58-792.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 58-792, the judge of
the circuit court of any county having a population in excess of two
thousand inhabitants per square mile according to the last United States
census and of any county having a population of not less than sixty-
six hundred fifty and not more than sixty-seven hundred twenty-five may,
for good cause shown, extend the time for completing the reassessment
and complying with the provisions of such section for a period of not
exceeding * four months from the thirty-first day of December of the year
of such reassessment.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
