CHAPTER 21

An Act to authorize, with the prior written approval of the Governor, the
increasing of certain appropriations out of certain special funds for
the use of the State Corporation Commission. (H 55)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. The appropriations set forth in Items 99, 100, 101, 102 and 103 of
Chapter 716 of the Acts of 1956, entitled An Act to appropriate the public
revenue for the two years ending respectively on the thirtieth day of June,
1957, and the thirtieth day of June, 1958, are hereby increased for the pur-
poses stated therein, provided, however, that the total of any appropriation
so increased may not exceed the fees, charges, taxes, and other special
revenues collected from the administration of the laws pertaining to the
respective activity; and provided further that no such increase in such ap-
propriations shall be available for expenditure without the prior written
approval of the Governor.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
