CHAPTER 93
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a section numbered
20-121.01 allowing the entry of a decree of divorce from the bonds of
matrimony without a decree from bed and board under certain circum-
stances.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a section
numbered 20-121.01 as follows:
§ 20-121.01. In any case where desertion or cruelty is the ground for
divorce and the bill of complaint prays for a divorce from bed and board
with leave to merge the same into a divorce from the bonds of matrimony
at the end of the statutory period as set out in § 20-121, the court may enter
a decree of divorce from the bonds of matrimony without the entry of a
decree from bed and board if the statutory period has elapsed prior to the
entry of said decree and if the court shall be of the opinion that no re-
conciliation has taken place, or is probable.
