CHAPTER 703

An Act to amend and reenact § 46-418, as amended, of the Code of Vir-
ginia, relating to accident reports required by local ordinances 766]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 46-413, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows: .

§ 46-413. Any county or incorporated city or town may by ordinance
require that the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident file with a
designated department a report of the accident or a copy of any report
herein required to be filed with the Division. All such reports shall be for
the confidential use of the department and subject to the provisions of
this chapter. Provided that such county, city or town may, by ordinance,
require such designated department to make such reports, including the
report of the police officer, available to any interested party or his attorney
for inspection.
