Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 38.1-542 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 38.1-542. Every such policy or certificate, except accident and
sickness insurance policies issued in accordance with Article 2, Chapter 8,
Title 38.1, shall be incontestable * after it shall have been in force during
the lifetime of the insured for one year from its date, except for the non-
payment of assessments or premiums thereon.
