CHAPTER 690

An Act to amend and reenact § 51-111.67 of the Code of Virginia, relat-
ing to changes, corrections, adjustments and refunds in connection
with the retirement system.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. P ana § 51-111.67 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 51-111.67, (a) Should any change or error in records result in
any member or beneficiary receiving from the retirement system more or
less than he would have been entitled to receive had the records been cor-
rect, then on discovery of any such error the Board shall correct the same,
and as far as practicable shall adjust the Parnenls in such a manner that
the actuarial equivalent of the benefit to which such member or beneficiary
was correctly entitled shall be paid. .

(b) Upon determination that any person has erroneously been in-
cluded in membership in the retirement system, contributions and interest
credited under the provisions of the abolished system or of § 51-111.49
shall be refunded.
