CHAPTER 67
AN ACT to authorize the city of Norfolk to acquire personal property or
real property located within the city of Norfolk, by purchase, gift,
condemnation, or otherwise, for the purpose of conveying the same
to_the College of William and Mary in Virginia or to the Norfolk
Division thereof and further authorizing said city to convey property
real or personal to said College or Norfolk Division thereof where
such conveyance is in the best interest of the city. CH 196]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The city of Norfolk is hereby authorized and empowered to
acquire personal property or real property located within the city by
purchase, gift, condemnation, or otherwise, for the purpose of conveying
the same to the College of William and Mary in Virginia or to the Norfolk
Division thereof, and is further authorized and empowered to convey
property, real or personal, or so much thereof as its governing body may
think proper, to the College of William and Mary in Virginia or to the
Norfolk Division thereof, with or without charge therefor, and on such
terms and conditions as the governing body may deem proper, where the
same is in the best interest of the city.
