CHAPTER 607

An Act to amend and reenact § 56-448 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to notice of accidents to be given the State Corporation Commission

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 56-448 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows: .

§ 56-448. * The Commission may require every common carrier by
railroad doing business in this State to make to the Commission at its
office in Richmond, Virginia, a monthly report of such injuries to persons,
equipment or roadbed arising from collisions, derailments or other acci-
dents to its trains, as may from time to time, after hearing and notice,
be prescribed by rules and regulations of the Commission; provided, that
netther such report nor any part thereof shall be admitted as evidence
in any suit or action for damages growing out of any matter mentioned in
such report. .
