CHAPTER 595

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section numbered
8-188.1, providing for the transfer of cases from courts not having
both law and equity jurisdiction to courts having such jurisdiction.

Be it enacted by the Genera] Assembly of Virginia: — ;

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new section
numbered 8-138.1 as follows: .

§ 8-138.1. In any case in which the court is of opinion that § 8-138
would be applicable except that the court does not have both law and
equity jurisdiction, the court in which the case is pending shall transfer
the case to a court of the same city or county having both law and equity
jurisdiction which shall proceed as though the case had originated therein.
