An Act for the relief of Steve Wise.

Whereas, on or about January sixteen, nineteen hundred fifty four,
certain persons acting as agents, servants and employees of the State
Department of Agriculture and Immigration did undertake to dip certain
sheep, the property of one Steve Wise of Abingdon, Virginia; and,
Whereas the said agents, servants and employees of the State De-
partment of Agriculture and Immigration performed said dipping opera-
tion which resulted in the death of twenty-one lambs, the property of said
Steve Wise, all to the damage of the said Steve Wise in the amount of
three hundred fifteen dollars ; and,
Whereas Steve Wise is without an adequate remedy at law to com-
pensate him for the damage which he has sustained; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the State
Treasury the sum of three hundred fifteen dollars to be paid to Steve Wise
by check of the State Treasurer issued on warrant of the Comptroller
drawn in pursuance of voucher signed by the Commissioner of Agricul-
ture and Immigration.
