CHAPTER 545

An Act to reappropriate from the public revenue to Virginia State College,
at Petersburg, the unexpended balance of Item 220 of Chapter 708 of
the Acts of the General Assembly, 1954. [8 870]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. There is hereby reappropriated from the general fund to Virginia
State College, at Petersburg, the unexpended balance at the effective date of
this act in the appropriation provided by Item 220, Chapter 708 of the Acts
of Assembly of 1954. This appropriation shall be expended by Virginia
State College, at Petersburg, to provide for expenses incurred to July
first, nineteen hundred and fifty-six, for equalization of higher educational
opportunities in public and nonsectarian private schools and institutions
of learning, including expenses incurred since November seventh, nineteen
hundred and fifty-five, for which payment has been withheld.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
