CHAPTER 461

An Act to authorize the governing bodies of counties to provide for the
licensing, inspection and regulation of horse riding schools. <

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The governing body of any county may by ordinance provide for
the licensing, inspection and regulation of horse riding schools for the pur-
pose of preventing any violation of § 18-99 of the Code of Virginia or any
local ordinances of similar import.

For the purpose of this act, “horse riding school” shall mean any es-
tablishment operated for profit in connection with which one or more horses
are let for hire to be ridden or driven, either with or without the furnishing
of riding or driving instructions.
