An Act to make it lawful for German carp to be taken by means of gigs,
bows and arrows, and artificial lights in the Shenandoah River in the
counties of Page, Rockingham, Clarke, Warren and Shenondoah at cer-
tain times and under certain conditions, and to provide that this act
shall not affect certain powers and duties of the Commission of Game
and Inland Fisheries nor cause any discrimination as to restocking
of the said Shenandoah River.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. It shall be lawful for any person, while either in or on such
river or on any bank or shore thereof, to take German carp by means of

gigs, including bows and arrows, and artificial lights from the Shenandoah
River in the counties of Page, Rockingham, Clarke, Warren and Shenan-
doah, during the day time between the first day of May and the thirtieth
day of June in any year; but every such person shall have a current
license to fish in the county in which he shall gig, or attempt to gig, any
such carp.
§ 2. The powers and duties of the Commission of Game and Inland
Fisheries with reference to restocking the inland waters of this State
with game fish shall not be affected by the passage of this act, and the
said Commission shall not in such restocking discriminate in any way
against or with reference to the Shenandoah River in any of the said
counties, because of this act.
