An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a section num-

bered 23-180.1, to authorize and empower the Virginia State School

‘s ail News to receive and enjoy gifts, grants, devises and
equests.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a section
numbered 23-180.1 as follows:

§ 23-180.1. The Virginia State School at Newport News or the
State Board of Education on its behalf, upon the prior written consent of
the Governor is empowered to receive, take, hold and enjoy any and
every gift, grant, devise, or bequest heretofore or hereafter made to the
School or the State Board of Education for charitable or educational
purposes for or on behalf of the School and to use and administer same
for the uses and purposes designated by the donor if designation be made,
or for the general purposes of the School if no designation be made.
