CHAPTER 415

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
68-81.1, to require that certain employees of local welfare boards
give bond.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
63-81.1 as follows:

§ 63-81.1. Every employee duly authorized by the local board to
draw warrants on the treasurer or other fiscal officer shall before entering
upon the discharge of his duties enter into a bond with surety to be
approved by the court or judge, in such sum as the court or judge may
fix, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of his duties. The provisions
of this section shall not apply in localities when provision for bonding
such employees has been made by their governing bodies.
