CHAPTER 400

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
68-298.2, relating to the acceptance and expenditure by the State
Board of Welfare and Institutions of certain funds for delinquents,
dependent and neglected children. CH 215]

. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding.a section numbered
63-293.2 as follows:

§ 63-293.2. The State Board is hereby authorized to accept and ex-
pend for the benefit of any child committed to it, or for reimbursement
purposes, any funds made available from any source, solely for the cur-
rent maintenance and support of any such child,- whether such funds be
provided by the child’s parents, or other person, or by the Veterans
Administration, the Railroad Retirement Act, the old-age and survivors’
insurance provisions of the Federal Social Security Act, as amended, or
from any other source, but in no event shall the sums so accepted exceed
an amount in excess of the cost to the State Board of supporting said child.
