An Act to amend and reenact § 1 of Chapter 292 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1950, approved April 4, 1950, relating to fishing below Chickahom-
iny Dam.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 1 of Chapter 292 of the Acts of Assembly of 1950, approved
April 4, 1950, be amended and reenacted, as follows:
§ 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation, or asso-
ciation to take or catch fish or shellfish, with lines, seines, or otherwise,
on or within five hundred yards below the Chickahominy Dam at Walker’s,
on the Chickahominy River, in Charles City County, Virginia; provided
that it shall be lawful to fish on or within five hundred yards below such
dam with rod and reel and hand line using baits or lures with not more
than one hook and not more than one such bait or lure to each line and
provided further that it shall also be lawful to seine for fish bait with a
minnow seine within five hundred yards below such dam.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
