CHAPTER 281

An Act to amend Chapter 88 of the Acts of Assembly of 1952, approved
February 14, 1952, which incorporated the city of Virginia Beach,
by adding a section numbered 2-A, fixing the compensation of council-
men of said city.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 33 of the Acts of Assembly of 1952, approved February
14, 1952, be amended by adding a section numbered 2-A as follows:

§ 2-A. Each member of the council of the city of Virginia Beach
shall receive a salary of six hundred ($600.00) dollars per year, except
the member elected chairman thereof, who is also ex officio mayor, whose
salary shall be nine hundred ($900.00) dollars per year, such salaries to
be payable in equal monthly installments.
