CHAPTER 254

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section numbered
Section 28-92.1, to authorize and empower the Virginia Military
Institute to receive and enjoy gifts, grants, devises and bequests.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
28-92.1 as follows: .

§ 28-92.1. The Virginia Military Institute, or its Board of Visitors
on its behalf, upon the prior written consent of the Governor is empow-
ered to receive, take, hold and enjoy any and every gift, grant, devise, or
bequest heretofore or hereafter made to the Institute or its Board of
Visitors for charitable or educational purposes, and to use and administer
same for the uses and purposes designated by the donor if designation be
