CHAPTER 157
AN ACT to authorize the board of visitors of Virginia Polytechnic Institute
with the consent of the Governor to sell and convey certain real estate
and interests therein and to appropriate the proceeds thereto 998]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The board of visitors of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, with the con-
sent of the Governor in writing, is authorized to sell and convey by proper
deed or other instrument, at public or private sale, all or any part of the
real property, mineral rights, or other interest which it now holds under
deed dated April 2, 1951, and recorded November 15, 1951 in the office
of the clerk of Court of Pulaski County in deed book 146 at page 154 and
under deed dated January 7, 1943 and recorded June 30, 1944 in the
aforesaid clerk’s office in deed book 106 at page 170.
2. The proceeds from any such sale or conveyance is appropriated to
Radford College, Woman’s Division, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and
shall be used for capital outlay purposes.
3. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
