CHAPTER 143

An Act to fix the salary of the Auditor of Public Accounts and to appro-
priate funds therefor. CH 72]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia: .
1. On and after March one, nineteen hundred fifty-six and until July one,
nineteen hundred fifty-six, the salary of the Auditor of Public Accounts
shall be paid in semimonthly installments in such amount as to equal on
an annual basis a salary of eleven thousand dollars per annum, which
compensation shall be in lieu of any other compensation from any other
source.
2. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the State
treasury the sum of three thousand six hundred sixty-seven dollars to be
expended for the purposes of this act.
38. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
