CHAPTER 13

An Act to appropriate funds for payment of salaries of judges of certain
courts.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is hereby appropriated out of the general fund in the State
treasury for the period beginning February second, nineteen hundred fifty-
six and ending June thirty, nineteen hundred fifty-six, in order to pay the
salaries of the judges of the Thirty-sixth and Thirty-seventh Judicial Cir-
cuits, and of additional judges in the Fourteenth, Sixteenth, Twenty-eighth
and Thirty-fifth Judicial Circuits, in addition to funds appropriated by
Items 12, 13 and 14 of Chapter 708 of the Acts of Assembly of 1954, the
sum of twenty-one thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary. Such salaries and payments shall be subject to the existing statutes
governing salaries and payments for judges of such courts generally.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
