An Act to amend and reenact § 8-528 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to payment of a writ tax in attachment proceedings. rH

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 8-528 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 8-528. * The plaintiff * praying for an attachment shall, * at the
time that he files his petition, if he files with the clerk, or if he files his
petition with the justice of the peace, then within ten days thereafter,
pay to the clerk of the court to which the return is made the proper writ
tax as fixed by law, if not already paid, and in the event of his failure
to do so the clerk shall refuse to issue the attachment or the attachment
issued by the justice of the peace shall stand dismissed ipso facto at the
cost of the plaintiff and no further proceedings shall he had thereon.
An Act to amend and reenact § 29-52, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to exemptions from requirements for licenses tc
hunt, trap and fish.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 29-52, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended anc
reenacted as follows:
§29-52. (1) License shall not be required of landowners, their
husbands or wives and their children, resident or nonresident, to hunt,
trap and fish within the boundaries of their own lands and inland waters.
(2) License shall not be required of hona fide tenants, renters or
lessees to hunt, trap or fish within the boundaries of the lands or waters
of which they are tenant, renter or lessee and on which they reside; pro-
vided such tenant, renter or lessee has the written consent of the land-
lord upon his person, and provided further that a * guest of the owner
of a private fish pond shall not be required to have a fishing license to fish
in such pond.
(3) License shall not be required of resident persons under sixteen
years old to trap or fish. .
(4) License shall not be required to trap for rabbits with box traps.
