CHAPTER 616
An Act to amend and reenact §§ 8-468.1 and 8-471 of the Code of Vir-
ginia and to repeal §§ 8-466, 8-467, 8-468, 8-469, 8-470, and 8-472 of
the Code of Virginia, all relating to the record in appeals, writs of
error and supersedeas.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
. That §§ 8-468.1 and 8-471 of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:
§ 8-468.1. Whenever the clerk of a trial court makes up, certifies
and transmits an original record pursuant to the rules of the Supreme
Court of Appeals, he shall receive compensation for all papers necessary
to be copied the sum of three cents for every twenty words so copied,
and, in addition thereto, the sum of five dollars. The compensation pro-
vided herein shall be in lieu of all compensation provided for in § 14-123
(38) * of the Code of Virginia.
§ 8-471. The Supreme Court of Appeals may from time to time
make, change or modify * such * rules for making out and printing the
records as it may deem proper.
2. §§ 8-466, 8-467, 8-468, 8-469, 8-470, and 8-472 are repealed.
