CHAPTER 595

An Act to amend and reenact § 16-172.61 of the Code of Virginia, relat-
ing to issuance of warrants for children. fH 676)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 16-172.61 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 16-172.61. No warrant of arrest shall be issued for any child
known or alleged to be under the age of fourteen years except when
authorized by the judge of a juvenile court or a judge of a court of
record or for a child known or alleged to be between the ages of four-
teen and eighteen years except when use of such process is imperative.
