CHAPTER 571
An Act to authorize and direct the Commission of Game and Inland Fish-
eries to sell certain real estate, and to provide for disposition of the
proceeds of such sale.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Subject to the approval of the Governor, in writing first obtained,
the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries is empowered and
directed to sell at public auction and convey by deed in form approved by
the Attorney General, to the highest and best bidder the following de-
scribed property:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Newville
Magisterial District, Sussex County, Virginia, containing 2,087.8 acres,
more or less, and more particularly described by deeds recorded in the
Clerk’s Office of Sussex County in Deed Book 31 at page 443, Deed Book
31 at page 562 and Deed Book 32 at page 155.
Provided, however, the Commission shall reserve the right to reject
any and all bids.
§ 2. The property described in § 1 hereof shall be sold in parcels
if it appears to be most advantageous to the Commonwealth of Virginia,
Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries.
§ 3. The proceeds from any such sale shall be paid into the treasury
to the credit of the Game Protection Fund.
§ 4. The impounded reservoir of water on said property amounting
to fifty acres, more or less, shall be reserved by the Commission inviolate
for the purpose of fishing by the public.
