CHAPTER 469

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
19-269.1, providing for the sequence of confinement of persons
convicted of a combination of felony and misdemeanor offenses.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
19-269.1 as follows:

§ 19-269.1. When any person is convicted of a combination of
felony and misdemeanor offenses and sentenced to confinement therefor,
in determining the sequence of confinement, the felony sentence and com-
mitment shall take precedence and such person shall first be committed
to serve the felony sentence.
