CHAPTER 441

An Act to authorize the Department of Agriculture and Immigration to
produce and sell vaccine for Bang’s disease; to place a limitation on
such production and to provide an appropriation therefor. TH 264]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Department of Agriculture and Immigration is hereby
authorized to enter into the necessary contract with Research Corporation,
Chrysler Building, New York, in order to obtain authority for the Depart-
ment to produce a vaccine for Bang’s Disease, which is termed “Mucoid
Vaccine” or “Brucella M Vaccine’”’.
2. The Department is authorized to produce and sell such vaccine at
cost to Virginia Veterinarians for use in Virginia cattle only, the proceeds
of such sales being hereby appropriated to the Department for purposes
of continuing such production.

The Department may produce and sell such vaccine only, so long
as such vaccine is unavailable in Virginia from commercial sources.
