CHAPTER 410
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a section num-
bered 15-705.4, relating to leasing certain public land to certain per-
sons for recreational purposes.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a section
numbered 15-705.4 as follows:
§ 15-705.4. The governing body of any county, in its discretion, may
lease to any responsible person, firm or corporation any lands owned or
held by such county for the purpose of constructing or erecting thereon a
swimming pool and buildings and improvements incident thereto. The
terms and provisions of any such lease shall be prescribed by the govern-
ing body provided that any such lease shall contain a clause to the effect
that at the termination of such lease it shall not be renewed, but the land
and all improvements thereon shall revert to the county and shall be free
from any encumbrance at the time of such reversion. All moneys received
by the counties under this section shall constitute a fund for the develop-
ment and improvement of recreational facilities within such county.
2. Anemergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
