An Act to amend and reenact Chapter 101 of the Acts of Assembly of 1950,
approved March 4, 1950, relating to squirrel season in certain counties
and providing penalties for violations, so as to change the application
thereof. TE 14}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 101 of the Acts of Assembly of 1950, approved March 4,
1950, be amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 1. Except as otherwise provided in this act, no person shall hunt,
capture, take or kill squirrels in the counties of Charles City, James City,
Lunenburg, New Kent, York, Prince George, Princess Anne, Powhatan,
Chesterfield, Henrico, Augusta, Southampton, King and Queen, Dinwiddie,
King William, Elizabeth City, Hanover, Appomattox, Warwick and Camp-
bell at any other season than that fixed for the general hunting of upland
game as same may be changed by law. The right of certain persons to hunt
squirrels on their own lands shall not be affected hereby. *
§ 2. It shall be lawful to hunt, capture, take or kill squirrels in the
counties of Southampton, Albemarle and Greensville during the period
September first to September fifteen of each year.
§ 8. Any person violating any provision of this act shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished accordingly.
