CHAPTER 322

An Act to appropriate funds for supplementary pension payments to
Confederate veterans during the months of March, April, May and
June of 1954.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, there is hereby
appropriated from the general fund of the State Treasury for the pay-
ment of supplementary pensions to Confederate veterans on the pension
roster, under the regular pension act (as continued in effect by § 51-1
of the Code of Virginia) approved March twenty-six, nineteen hundred
and twenty-eight, Chapter 465, as amended March twenty-four, nineteen
hundred and thirty, and March thirty, nineteen hundred and thirty-four,
and subsequent acts appropriating the public revenue, the sum of five
hundred dollars, which sum shall be paid in March, nineteen hundred and
fifty-four, by the State Treasurer upon a warrant drawn by the Comp-
troller as provided by law.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
