CHAPTER 318

An Act to authorize the city of Charlottesville to expend certain surplus
proceeds from the sale of certain bonds to improve Jefferson Ele-
mentary School.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. The School Board of the city of Charlottesville is hereby authorized
to expend the sum of seventy thousand dollars to improve Jefferson Ele-
mentary School out of the surplus from the sale of City of Charlottesville,
Virginia, School Improvement Bonds, Series of nineteen hundred fifty in
the total amount of nine hundred fifty thousand dollars, issued for the
purpose of improving Venable School and constructing and furnishing
Burley High School.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
