An Act to amend and reenact § 14-58 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
mileage allowed to members of board of supervisors. tH 664]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
aT That § 14-58 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
follows:
§ 14-58. In addition to the foregoing compensation each member of
the board of supervisors shall be allowed and paid out of the county levy
five cents for each mile of travel required in going to and returning from
the place of meeting of the board, provided that only one mileage shall be
allowed for each term or meeting of the board, and provided, further,
that mileage shall not be allowed for more than twenty-four meetings in
any year, provided, however, that in any county having a population in
excess of forty thousand, adjoining a county having a population in excess
of one thousand inhabitants per square mile each member of the board
shall be allowed and paid out of the county levy seven cents for each mile
of travel required in going to and returning from the place of meeting of
the board, or otherwise in the discharge of county business.
