An Act to authorize the county of Bath to expend certain funds and
acquire certain property; and to dispose of such property.
[H 218]
Approved March 15, 1954
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The county of Bath, from the surplus revenue received under Chap-
ters two hundred and eight and three hundred and nine of the Acts of
Assembly of nineteen hundred fifty, is authorized to use a portion of such
special revenues to purchase not exceeding one hundred acres of real estate
suitable for development as a fish pond; provided that not exceeding five
thousand dollars shall be paid for such property. Following the acquisi-
tion of such property by the county and a determination by the Commis-
sion of Game and Inland Fisheries that the property is suitable for devel-
opment as a public fish pond, the county is authorized to sell and convey
such real estate to the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries upon
such terms and conditions as the governing body in its sole discretion
deems proper; provided that the Commission of Game and Inland Fish-
eries undertakes to develop stock and maintain said property as a public
fish pond.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
