CHAPTER 257

An Act to amend and reenact §§ 22-153 and 22-154, as amended, of the
Code of Virginia, relating to minimum floor and air space, and light
in public school buildings.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That §§ 22-153 and 22-154, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be
amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 22-153. No plans for the erection of any public school building
or addition thereto shall be approved, unless the same shall provide * the
minimum floor and air space for each pupil to be accommodated therein
and minimum ventilating facilities as prescribed by regulations of the
State Board of Education.

§ 22-154. *No plans for the erection of any public school building
or addition thereto shall be approved, unless the same shall provide for
ample light—natural or artificial—for pupils * as prescribed by regula-
tion of the State Board of Education.
