CHAPTER 167

An Act to provide for the effect of certain methods of service of process
or giving of notice by publication under certain conditions. nH 94]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. When the service of process or the giving of notice is required or
permitted to be done by publication in a newspaper for two or more
successive times, such process or notice, if otherwise in conformity with
the statute providing for such method of service or notice, shall be deemed
to be in compliance with the statute even though the newspaper suspends
publication for not more than one week during the required period of
successive publication, provided the total times of publication equal the
required number of separate publications.
