An Act to amend and reenact § 15-859 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to the manner of effecting zoning regulations in certain counties. 1

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 15-859 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted,
as follows:
§ 15-859. The board of supervisors of such county shall provide for
the manner in which such regulations and restrictions and the boundaries
of such districts shall be determined, established and enforced and from
time to time amended, supplemented or changed. However, no such regu-
lation, restriction or boundary shall become effective until after a public
hearing in relation thereto, at which parties in interest and citizens shall
have an opportunity to be heard. Notice shall be given of the time and
place of such hearing by publication * once a week for two* successive
weeks prior to its passage in some newspaper published in the county *
or having a general circulation therein, the second weekly publication of
such notice to be * not less than five nor more than ten days prior to the
holding of the hearing.
