CHAPTER 25

An Act to appropriate funds to the Department of Agriculture and Immi-
gration to compensate the owners of certain hogs destroyed pursuant
to order of such Department.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Agriculture and
Immigration from the general fund in the State treasury the sum of
thirty-one thousand one hundred fifty dollars and eighty-six cents to be
expended by the Department to partially compensate the owners of certain
hogs destroyed on or about September 19 and 20, 1952, by the Department
to prevent the spread of vesicular exanthema.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
