An Act to amend and reenact Chapter 202 of the Acts of Assembly of
1950, relating to the season in which squirrels may be lawfully taken
im certain counties, and providing penalties for violations, so as to
provide when squirrels may be taken in certain other counter 799)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 202 of the Acts of Assembly of 1950 be amended and
reenacted as follows: .
§ 1. It shall be lawful to hunt, capture, take and kill squirrels in
the counties of * Patrick, Floyd, Carroll and Franklin during the period
beginning September first of each year and extending through January
twenty following. The right of certain persons to hunt squirrels on their
own lands shall not be affected hereby.
§ 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 1 of this act, it shall be
lawful to hunt, capture, take and kill squirrels in the county of Scott
during the period beginning September fifteen of each year and ending
January fifth following.
§ 8. Any person hunting, capturing, taking or killing squirrels at
any time other than that herein authorized shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor.
