CHAPTER 644

An Act to amend and reenact § 63-298 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
per diem cost of maintenance of children by the Board of Welfare and
Institutions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
ea That § 63-293 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 63-293. For the maintenance of children detained or placed by the
Board, as provided by the two preceding sections there shall be paid by
the State out of the appropriation for criminal expenses the following
per diem allowances: For the first seven children not to exceed * two
dollars and * twenty-five cents each; for the next ten children not to exceed
* two dollars each; for the next ten children not to exceed one dollar
and * seventy-five cents each; for the excess above twenty-seven children
not to exceed one dollar and fifty cents each.
