CHAPTER 630
An Act to amend and reenact § 58-942 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to compensation for the citizen member of certain county finance
boards.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 58-942 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 58-942. The citizen member of the county finance board may in
the discretion of the board of supervisors or other governing body of the
county receive for each day’s attendance as a member of the board a sum
not less than five dollars and mileage at the rate of five cents per mile
for each mile of travel on each day of such attendance by the most direct
route in going to and returning, from the place of meeting, such mileage,
however, in no case to exceed two dollars per day. The allowance made
under this section shall be paid by the board of supervisors or other gov-
erning body out of the county levy, on a certificate of attendance from
the chairman of the county finance board, verified by the affidavit of the
citizen member as to mileage traveled in going to and returning from the
meeting. The total compensation paid under this section shall not exceed *
ninety dollars and mileage in any one year.
