creases for the period January through June 1952. rH 118]
Approved February 18, 1952

authority vested in him by the Virginia Personnel Act, the Governor
on March two, nineteen hundred fifty-one, authorized a ten per cent
increase in the first two thousand dollars of annual rate of pay for State
employees included under the act; and
Whereas, the order of the Governor authorizing the salary adjust-
ment described herein stated that continuation of the increase from Jan-
uary through June nineteen hundred fifty-two would be contingent upon
provision of additional funds; and
Whereas, the factors on which the increase was based have con-
tinued; now, therefore,

to the various State agencies sums necessary to supplement the existing
general fund appropriations to such agencies by reason of the increase
in salaries hereinbefore mentioned for the period January 1, 1952 through
June 30, 1952.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
