CHAPTER 628

An Act to authorize, subject to certain conditions, the Virginia Commis-
sion of Game and Inland Fisheries to sell and convey certain property
in Orange County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries is
hereby authorized to sell and convey, upon such terms and conditions as it
deems proper, subject to the approval of the Governor, the following
described property:

All that certain piece or uarve) of land lying and being in Orange
County, Virginia, located approximately nine miles northeast of the town
of Orange, consisting of twenty-seven hundred sixty-four (2764) acres,
more or less, and known as the Hawfield Place.

§ 2. Such conveyance shall be by deed in form approved by the
Attorney General of Virginia.

§ 3. The net proceeds from the sale of said property shall be de-
posited in the State treasury to the credit of the Game Protection Fund.

2. Anemergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
