An Act to amend Chapter 180 of the Acts of Assembly of 1942, approved
March 9, 1942, relating to the creation of the Elizabeth River Tunnel
District, by adding thereto a section numbered 18-a, so as to authorize
the forming of certain agreements and to ratify certain ll ae

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Chapter 130 of the Acts of Assembly of 1942, approved
March 9, 1942, be amended by adding thereto a section numbered 13-a,
as follows: |

§ 18-a. In addition to the other powers now or hereafter conferred
upon it, the Elizabeth River Tunnel Commission is authorized to enter
into such agreement or agreements with the city of Norfolk covering the
maintenance and operation of and elimination of tolls on the bridge now
being constructed by said Commission across the Elizabeth River, between
the communities of Norfolk and Berkley, for such consideration and on
such terms or conditions as said Commission may deem proper and any
agreement heretofore entered into between said district and said city
covering such maintenance, operation and elimination of tolls is hereby
ratified.
