certain technical assistance furnished law enforcement officers and
agencies by the State Health Commissioner.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 52-11.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
follows:

§ 52-11.1. The State Health Commissioner shall cause to be furnished
to the Department of State Police all such assistance, cooperation and
facilities, requested by the Superintendent of State Police or the authorized
officers and agents of the Department of State Police, as may be afforded by
the laboratories and technical staff of the Department of Health and
the Chief Medical Examiner.

The State Health Commissioner may, in his discretion, furnish to any
other law enforcement officer or agency, such assistance, cooperation and
facilities as are afforded by the laboratories and technical staff of the De-
partment of Health and the Chief Medical Examiner.
