An Act to authorize and empower the Commission of Game and Inland
Fisheries to enter into reciprocal agreements with adjoining states
with regard to fishing, under certain circumstances, in impounded
waters lying partly in this and partly in another state. 9

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. It shall be lawful for a citizen of an adjoining state, having
impounded waters lying and being situated partly in such adjoining state
and partly in the State of Virginia, or a citizen of the State of Virginia, to
take fish with hook and line, fly, troll or spinner after complying with the
requirements of the laws of the state of which he is a citizen for the taking
of fish in such interstate impounded waters of such state.
§ 2. The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries shall have the
necessary power and authority to enter into a reciprocal agreement with an
adjoining state having impounded waters lying and being situated partly
in such adjoining state and partly in the State of Virginia relating to the
following:
a. Recognition of a resident sport fishing license acquired in an ad-
joining state when it is used by the resident of such state, whose name ap-
pears on the face of such license, when such licensee is fishing in that portion
of said impounded waters lying and being situated in the State of Virginia.
Such recognition shall be contingent upon a like recognition of said ad-
joining state giving such recognition to a resident licensee of the State of
Virginia while such licensee is fishing in that portion of such impounded
waters lying and being situated in such adjoining state.
b. State creel limits, open seasons for fishing and all other laws and
regulations of the state entering into such agreement shall be strictly
observed, and failure of any person to comply with the rules and regulations
set up under such agreement shall be a misdemeanor and punished ac-
cordingly.
c. There shall be a special nonresident fishing license good for three
consecutive days to fish in interstate impounded waters only. Such licenses
Shall be supplied to clerks or agents in counties bordering such interstate
impounded waters. The cost for such license shall be one dollar of which
amount ten cents shall be paid to the clerk or agent issuing same. Clerks
or agents shall make remittance to the Commission as is provided in
Chapter 5 of Title 29 of the Code of 1950. —
