An Act to amend and reenact § 18-78 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
driving after revocation of license, so as to increase the penalty therefor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
ae That § 18-78 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 18-78. Driving after forfeiture of license.—If any person so con-
victed shall, during the time for which he is deprived of his right so to
do, drive or operate any such vehicle, conveyance, engine or train in this
State, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be confined in jail
not less than ten days nor more than six months and may in addition be
fined not exceeding five hundred dollars; but nothing in this or the pre-
ceding three sections shall be construed as conflicting with or repealing
any ordinance or resolution of any city, town or county which restricts
still further the right of such persons to drive or operate any such
vehicle or conveyance. |
