An Act to amend and reenact § 68-194 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to residence requirements for aid to the blind so as to reduce the
requirement of residence.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. 1 That § 68-194 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 63-194. Transfer of local residence. —(a) Any recipient of aid to
the blind who moves from one county or city in this State into another
county or city therein shall thereafter be treated as if the grant of aid
to the blind had been made by the county or city into which he moves,
and the local board of the county or city from which he moves shall
transfer all necessary records relating to the recipient to the local board
of the county or city into which such recipient moves.
b) No person otherwise eligible for aid to the blind under the pro-
visions of this law, who has resided in this State * continuously for one
year immediately preceding * application for such aid to the blind, shall
be denied aid to the blind under the provisions of this law on the ground
that he lacks residence requirements.
