[(S 403]
Approved April 1, 1952
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notice of Federal tax liens on personal property under the pro-
visions of the laws of the United States may be filed with the clerk of the
court with whom deeds are admitted to record, as provided by law, of
the county or corporation in which such personal property subject to the
lien is located. Such notices shall be docketed in the judgment lien dockets
and properly indexed. No tax shall be required on any such notice, but
for each such docketing and indexing the clerk shall be paid for his
services the same fees prescribed by law for the docketing and indexing of
judgments. Upon notice from the proper official of the Federal government
that such lien has been satisfied or released the clerk shall indorse such
satisfaction or release in the margin of the judgment lien docket where
such lien is docketed and file the notice of discharge with the original
notice of the lien.
